Ahmad Al Banna founded Endepth Engineers in 2017 with a commitment to delivering practical, buildable and code-compliant structural engineering solutions for complex building, infrastructure and construction projects.
With more than 25 years of professional experience, Ahmad has successfully delivered the structural design, construction engineering and technical assessment of major building and infrastructure projects across Australia and internationally. His experience encompasses high-end residential developments, commercial and mixed-use buildings, hospitals, aged care facilities, industrial developments, bridges, tunnels, mining infrastructure, complex construction engineering and temporary works, including Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) launch and retrieval structures, together with specialist marine infrastructure.
Ahmad has extensive experience in the structural design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and composite structures, together with construction engineering, temporary works, structural inspections, condition assessments, forensic investigations and remedial engineering. He has also delivered specialist structural engineering for major desalination projects, including seawater intake and outfall structures, pump stations and associated marine infrastructure.
Throughout his career, Ahmad has worked closely with developers, contractors, architects, government agencies and asset owners, providing engineering advice from concept design through to construction and project completion. He has a particular passion for collaborating with contractors to solve complex construction challenges where conventional approaches are not sufficient. By combining sound engineering principles with practical construction knowledge, he develops structural solutions that enable innovative construction methodologies, improve buildability and support the safe and efficient delivery of technically demanding projects. His experience includes the development of specialist construction engineering and temporary works solutions such as TBM launch and retrieval structures, flying launch systems, jacked riser installations, heavy lifting systems and bespoke structural solutions for complex infrastructure and industrial projects.
Ahmad believes that successful structural engineering extends beyond achieving code compliance. His approach focuses on developing practical, economical and buildable solutions that improve construction efficiency, manage project risks and deliver long-term value for clients.
